EMINEM.. Space Bound
I haven’t listened to Eminem in ages. I didn’t ever really naturally gravitated to his music, but decided to give it a spin, since he had reached such high acclaim. What I uncovered was brilliance. He’s truly gifted. He has a ton of baggage that he is carrying around for better or worse, but no one can deny is genuine authenticity that he delivers through lyrics and voice. He’s freaking amazing. This is one of my most favorites from his recent album, Recovery. My 2nd favorite would have to be “Going Through Changes”. What a fabulous modern old-school mix. 3rd favorite would be the more popular “Love the Way You Lie”. Yikes!
The Calm Blue Sea - Literal
Wish I were going to SXSW this year. The Calm Blue Sea will be there. I’ll be in NY kicking butt and taking names. :) I love my city and have been professing my love all day. Someday the angels are going to take a liking to me.
Vid of the Day: Eisley - I Wasn’t Prepared
This song is wonderful and Sherri has an amazing angelic voice. Her lyrics really resonates with me at this particular point in time. Interesting how we overlook songs or pieces of (art)work, but then something changes in our personal life or a new experience opens the window for us to realize realize how beautiful the work is.
tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
Standing in the crib looking out, wondering when they were going to “Let me out of this thing!”.
Moby is brilliant and I love it when famous artists collaborate with unknowns. It’s fun to see this collaborative process be born. NPR can always supply cool material.
Video of the Day: Freelance Whales: “Generator 1st Floor”
There sounds amuse me. They almost remind me of birds chirping. I mean that in the sweetest way. What they do is very natural.
This is tasty. Good sounds to discover. Listen to the player that features one song from each of the artists on the list.
Still love this song: MGMT “Time to Pretend”! I can’t believe this is the first time for me seeing the video. Where have I been?
